Survey results from my coloring course!

So it's been a few months since I revamped and relaunched my online coloring course at ColoringComics.com, and I wanted to share some of the notes I received so far from the survey at the end of the course.

From Dave:
Hi K, Thanks very much for a superb course. I have just purchased my first iMac and using photoshop for the first time.I am an artist but wanted to learn how to colour my comic art. I was frustrated with looking through YouTube and to be honest a lot of the videos presumed that the viewer had a quite a bit of knowledge already. Your course showed me how to set up my workspace (thanks for the free brushes) and the way you explain actions was excellent.

You didn't rush on or click forward without explaining first and found that I picked things up first time. I read 2000ad from the start and to be taught by someone who coloured Dredd was an honour. I now have the skills to flat, render and do some crazy colouring stuff with my line art and I thank you. If you want to learn how to colour comics then invest in this course you will not regret it.

Appreciate your hard work in setting up this in depth course.

From Renaldo (in Namibia!):
By no means was your contribution small, You have forever changed my life and I will never forget what you have taught me and done. I honestly don't know how to thank you for all that you do. You are One-of-a-kind man there are very few people that do what you do, You are helping many people like a amateur comic book maker that lives in Namibia. I may grow up to make great stories and when I am up there I will be thinking back to the day I found you on the internet. thank you man I really want you to know how important the work you're doing is. [NOTE FROM KMR: I may have shed a manly tear here...maybe.]

From Josh:
Just want to say I really appreciate the course! I've always had a love of comics and I think this might be a good place for me to be a part of the industry one day. As far as content is concerned I got a lot of value out of your lessons about color concepts and story telling. Also, it's funny but flatting blew my mind. I'm a pretty advanced photoshop user (I'm an art director and photo retoucher professionally), and I've never even thought about using the basic tools in that way. Mind blown. And how you use the flats for coloring makes so much sense.

I just finished my first full color from the supplied inks, and I can't wait to do more! Thanks for the course!

From Robbie:
Until I took on this course I had no idea how much I didn't know. It's all been easy to follow, easy to understand, and the step-by-step tutorials have not only provided me with knowledge but also confidence to make use of that knowledge.

Thank you so much.

I want to thank everyone that has sent emails or completed the survey so far. I'm so glad to see people getting so much out of it, and it definitely makes all the work that went into creating it and supporting students there worth it.
